Well, today I'm going to watch Dasavatharam and I'm really looking forward to it with a fair amount of expectation. The hype around the move has been extraordinary even surpassing all of previous Kamal's movie, though previous movies have generated considerable expectations themselves. Watching the promo, I feel the movie might just click with the masses though Kamal has a tendency to give an intellectual feel to the movie which usually keep the masses away. I'm sure with the budget that has gone into the movie, all the sections of the audience would have been taken care.
Being a Kamal and a cinema fan, I hope the film succeeds both commercially and critically. I will be satisfied with a good meaningful cinema but the producers would want the movie to set the cash registers to be ringing :-)
Can a good cinema be successful both critically and commercially, especially in the Tamil film industry? I can't wait to find out.....
